Performance measurement is critical for government agencies within New Zealand so we can prove we are delivering results for New Zealanders. Transparent reporting to Parliament is also a statutory obligation. Agencies also have obligations to report to Ministers and stakeholder groups.
Performance measures help us define the results that matter most and provide a framework to track progress.
The SFO works within the Vote Serious Fraud in order to impact on the outcomes of:
- A confident business environment that is largely free of serious financial crime
- A just society that is largely free of fraud, bribery and corruption.
Performance measures and standards have been established to monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of managing the three key activities of complaints, investigations and prosecutions.
