Counter Fraud Centre
The SFO leads fraud prevention efforts in New Zealand’s public sector and works to strengthen the sector’s resilience to fraud and corruption through its Counter Fraud Centre - Tauārai Hara Tāware (CFC).
Fraud involving public funds diverts money from vital areas such as health, infrastructure or a crisis response. It also undermines confidence in public institutions.
The CFC’s mission is in two parts - to build capability through providing resources and guidance, and to create an effective counter fraud culture.
You can access resources and guides at the links below.
If you are in the public sector and would like to contact us about the services we can provide please email counterfraud@sfo.govt.nz
