Former Westland District Council group manager of district assets Vivek Goel and Amar Singh of ANA Group Limited found guilty on bribery and corruption charges. Ashish Sevta, also of ANA Group, found not guilty on one charge of obtaining by deception.
Mr Goel and Mr Singh are scheduled to appear for sentencing on 22 March 2023. -

Vivek Goel pleads not guilty to four charges of ‘Corrupt use of official information’ and two charges of ‘Obtaining by deception’. Neha Bubna pleads not guilty to one charge of ‘Corrupt use of official information’ and one charge of ‘Obtaining by deception’. The two defendants entered their pleas on 30 October. The two other defendants, who have interim name suppression, did not enter pleas.
