• Mar 2023

  Vivek Goel sentenced to three years and eight months’ imprisonment. Amar Singh sentenced to three years and seven months’ imprisonment.

• Feb 2023

  Neha Bubna sentenced to 10 months home detention in February after pleading guilty to one charge of obtaining by deception.

• Dec 2022

  Former Westland District Council group manager of district assets Vivek Goel and Amar Singh of ANA Group Limited found guilty on bribery and corruption charges. Ashish Sevta, also of ANA Group, found not guilty on one charge of obtaining by deception.
  
  Mr Goel and Mr Singh are scheduled to appear for sentencing on 22 March 2023.

• Oct 2022

  Trial rescheduled - to commence in the Christchurch High Court on 17 October.

• Jun 2021

  Trial scheduled to commence in the Christchurch High Court on 14 June.

• Mar 2020

  The four defendants are scheduled to appear in the Christchurch High Court on 20 March.

• Feb 2020

  The four defendants were scheduled to appear in the Christchurch District Court on 13 February. The hearing however was adjourned due to proceedings being transferred to the High Court.

• Oct 2019

  Vivek Goel pleads not guilty to four charges of ‘Corrupt use of official information’ and two charges of ‘Obtaining by deception’. Neha Bubna pleads not guilty to one charge of ‘Corrupt use of official information’ and one charge of ‘Obtaining by deception’. The two defendants entered their pleas on 30 October. The two other defendants, who have interim name suppression, did not enter pleas.
